Yisrael Immanuel

Hailing from Tottenham,  North London, Yisrael Immanuel is definitely an unsung hero of UK Reggae.  His music is deeply rooted in his faith and his faith is deeply rooted in his music.  Yisrael is certainly not an everyday regular artist of the Reggae genre. Yisrael is not ‘chanting down Babylon’ in the customary reggae style under the Rastafari banner. No sa! Yisrael boldly proclaims Yahweh and Yahsua alone but sticks to the traditional reggae authenticity while poetically reciting  biblical verses.

His music could not be slotted in the ‘Gospel’ reggae box, because there’s clearly the ‘rebel with a cause’ element in his music that demands justice for the downtrodden, an element that is missing from much of the mainstream Gospel reggae genre.  Yisrael is currently deeply involved in an initiative called The King’s Peace Treaty that aims to curb inner-city gang violence among the youths of the capital and to bring back genuine peace to the streets of London.  Yisrael says ‘No man with heart that beats is worthless’, his mission then is to let the generation know and manifest the glory for which the Most High created them.

This artist has a powerful message that deserves to be heard, if not in the mainstream, at least in the personal collections of those who appreciate a quality warrior of the word when they hear one.
